■ Product Overview
The tower grounding resistance tester is designed to measure the grounding resistance of transmission line towers with directly grounded overhead ground wires. It measures the resistance of both the tower structure and the overhead ground wire within the same span, as well as subsequent sections. ( or both sides ) The resistive components of the equivalent impedance in each phase‑to‑ground loop form a closed circuit. By applying the internal power supply potential of the measuring instrument, a current is generated in this circuit, and the grounding resistance of the tower under test is determined using Ohm’s law for the entire circuit.
