It is primarily used to conduct impulse voltage tests—such as full‑wave lightning impulse, chopped lightning impulse, and switching impulse—on power equipment and other test specimens, thereby evaluating their insulation performance. The device can generate eight types of impulse voltage waveforms: standard lightning waves, switching waves, chopped lightning waves, oscillatory lightning waves, oscillatory switching waves, steep‑front waves for line insulators, steep‑front waves for composite insulators, and transformer induced switching waves. The complete set of equipment is fully integrated, with a full range of voltage ratings.
The impulse voltage generator features a low‑inductance circuit and incorporates a band‑stop filtering scheme, enabling it to generate standard impulse waves even under heavy capacitive loading, with substantial load‑handling capability.
High voltage utilization factor; the lightning wave and switching surge shall each be no less than 85% and 80%。
Wave adjustment is convenient, operation is simple, synchronization performance is excellent, and actuation is reliable.
It employs constant-current charging with automatic control, featuring a high degree of automation and strong anti-interference capability.
A digital waveform analysis system for impulse voltages and a microcomputer-based online data-processing system for impulse voltage tests have been successfully developed, significantly enhancing the technical level and efficiency of impulse voltage testing.
