During the manufacturing of power transformers—both semi‑finished and finished products—and prior to commissioning newly installed units, as well as in accordance with the preventive testing procedures issued by the State Power Administration, it is required to perform turns‑ratio or voltage‑ratio tests on operating transformers. These tests enable verification of the correctness of the transformer’s turns ratio, the accuracy of tap changers, compliance with relevant standards, and the suitability of the transformer for parallel operation. Conventional bridge‑type ratio meters provide readings that are not immediately intuitive, necessitating manual conversions.
