The 35 kV insulating rod withstand voltage test stand is developed in accordance with the requirements of DL/T 976-2005, “Preventive Test Procedures for Live Working Tools, Devices, and Equipment,” a power industry standard issued by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China. This product features lightweight construction and high strength. Its test electrodes are made of 304 stainless steel combined with conductive cotton, ensuring full contact between the electrode and the specimen; all performance parameters meet national standards. It can be used to conduct insulation withstand voltage tests on insulating rods as specified in the “Preventive Test Procedures for Electrical Safety Tools and Equipment.” The product is suitable for all industries related to the power sector.

Device Connection Operation

1. Requirements for the test site:

For electroscopes applicable to a specified voltage range, the test shall be conducted in a laboratory shielded against external electromagnetic interference, corresponding to the maximum rated voltage U; when U… N The clearance for voltages ≤35 kV is 1 m, when U N >35 kV, with a spatial range of 2 m or more.

During the test, the contact electrode of the electroscope is brought into contact with the test electrode, and the indicator is positioned approximately on the central axis (horizontal axis) of the annular electrode.

The horizontal distance between the centerline of the test electrode and the annular electrode is shown in Table 3.

Note: 1. ac denotes a voltmeter equipped with an extended contact electrode (commonly used in substations), and refers to the distance between the test electrode and the ring-shaped electrode.

2. The AO is a voltmeter without an extended contact electrode (commonly used for power lines); it measures the distance between the test electrode and the ring electrode.

Gradually increase the voltage on the test electrode; when the “voltage present” indicator signals, the starting voltage is measured. If the measured starting voltage falls within the specified range for one of the four types listed below, the test is considered to have passed.
