■Product Overview
Partial discharge is an electrical discharge that does not result in a complete short circuit of the electrodes. The amplitude of such discharges is typically very small. However, they can progressively degrade the performance of insulating materials, ultimately leading to equipment failure. Non-invasive partial discharge detection offers a rapid and straightforward method for identifying potential insulation faults that could cause power outages or pose risks to personnel.
Partial discharge radiates energy in the following manner: : ① Electromagnetic energy : Radio waves, light, heat ; ② Acoustic energy : Sound waves, ultrasonic waves ; ③ Gas : Ozone, nitrogen oxides.
The most practical non-invasive detection techniques are all based on sensing the high-frequency components of the electromagnetic spectrum and ultrasonic signals.
This product is a specially designed, easy-to-operate instrument for detecting electromagnetic and ultrasonic activity.
■ Technical Specifications
Scope of Application : A non-invasive detection method is employed to detect and locate partial discharge defects in high-voltage electrical equipment.
Detection Principle : Ultra-high frequency method (UHF) , Ultrasonic method (UA) Ground Penetrating Radar Method (TEV) 。
Detection band : Ultra-high frequency is 300~1500(MHz) , ultrasound is 20~200(KHz) 。
Measurement range : Ultra-high frequency is -80~-20 dBm , ultrasound is 0~90dB 。
Sensitivity : smallest 10 pC( It depends specifically on the distance between the sensor and the discharge source. )。
Sensor :
① Ultra-high frequency sensor :300~2000(MHz) , possessing directional reception characteristics ;
② Ultrasonic sensor :20~200(kHz); ③ Telluric current :10~70MHz 。
It features a built-in ultrasonic sensor, a combined geoelectric wave and ultrasonic sensor.
Software Features :
① Continuously monitor ultra-high frequency, ground‑borne electromagnetic wave, and ultrasonic signals to determine whether partial discharge is present.
② Displays the trend of the measured signal in real time, enabling a relatively intuitive assessment of the development of partial discharge signals.
③ Equipped with on-site data storage capability.
Instrument Features :
- Screen display : High contrast 3.5 inch TFT Color screen.
- Data storage : Can be saved 1000 Group test data
- Power supply : Built-in 8.4V Lithium battery, capable of continuous operation. 8 Hour.
④ Power supply : Input 100-240VAC , output 8.4V/3A , charging time 3~4 Hour.
