Overview
The waveform recorder integrates electrical testing, fault recording, and comprehensive power monitoring functions. This portable instrument features an all-in-one design, integrating high-performance processing, data acquisition, computation, and communication modules to deliver advanced data-processing capabilities. It is suitable for steady-state measurements and transient recording and analysis across all stages of the power system.
The waveform recorder is equipped with multiple analog channels, all employing electrical isolation technology with an isolation withstand voltage of up to DC 3000 V. The analog channel types include AC voltage, AC current, DC voltage, DC current, and rotational speed signals, covering the full range of electrical signal types across all stages of the power system. Switch input signals are available in both active and passive configurations, while the switch output signals are relay contacts.
The waveform recorder is equipped with a fully featured integrated software suite, encompassing functions such as waveform recording, testing, monitoring, and long-term data logging. A remote terminal is provided as part of the package ( The host‑computer software can connect to the waveform recorder via a local area network, enabling remote operation of the device.
Features and Benefits
Real-time monitoring: Wave recorder It supports 16 analog channels and 16 digital channels. It displays waveforms, harmonics, and vector diagrams in real time, and calculates the RMS values of analog signals as well as derived quantities—including frequency, active power, reactive power, power angle, zero-sequence components, and negative-sequence components—on a real-time basis.
Generator Electrical Testing: Various generator characteristic test procedures, Including the generator No-load tests, short-circuit tests, frequency characteristics tests, leading‑power‑factor tests, load‑rejection tests, rotor AC impedance measurements, synchronizing device verification, and various tests of the excitation regulator, such as step response tests, field‑weakening tests, and no‑load voltage‑rise tests.
Fault Recording: Equipped with complete fault recorder functionality. It monitors real-time signals according to predefined fault criteria and initiates waveform recording when the criteria are met. In the event of a power system fault, it can automatically and accurately capture the temporal evolution of various electrical quantities both before and after the fault occurs.
Long-term waveform recording: It continuously records analog waveforms and RMS values, as well as digital input states, for extended periods. Recording can last up to 31 days, with a maximum selectable sampling rate of 10 kHz. 。
