Three Gorges Dam Power Station

　　The Three Gorges Power Station in our country is currently the largest power station in the world. It was officially started in 1994 and started to store water in 2003. It was completed in 2009. The dam of the Three Gorges Hydropower Station has an elevation of 185 meters, a water storage elevation of 175 meters, a reservoir length of more than 600 kilometers, a total investment of 95.46 billion yuan, and installation of 32 hydropower units with a single unit capacity of 700,000 kilowatts. It is now the world's largest hydroelectric power station and clean energy production base.

　　In 2015, the units of the Three Gorges Power Station operated well, with an annual power generation of 87 billion kWh. During the period, in order to make full use of the flood resources, we will further improve the power generation efficiency of the Three Gorges-Gezhouba cascade hydropower station by actively carrying out joint dispatch of reservoirs, optimal dispatch of small and medium-sized floods, timely clearing and drifting to create good power heads, and increasing power grid output coordination. The power is 6.582 billion kWh, of which the Three Gorges Power Station is 50.16 kWh and the Gezhouba Power Station is 1.566 billion kWh.

　　The Three Gorges Power Station has accumulated more than 90 billion kWh of electricity throughout the year. If the contribution of electricity per kWh to GDP is calculated at 10 yuan, the clean energy generated by the Three Gorges Power Station in the whole year is equivalent to creating nearly one trillion yuan of wealth for the country.
