Operating Procedures for the Transformer Volt-Ampere Characteristic Tester!

发布时间:2022-04-11

The voltage–ampere characteristic tester is safe and convenient. Featuring a built-in high-performance CPU, the all‑digital device offers exceptional reliability. After setting the test parameters as prompted by the interface, no manual contact with the equipment is required; the tester automatically completes the measurement. This keeps personnel away from high‑voltage circuits, ensuring their personal safety.

The output power of the V‑A characteristic tester is expressed in actual voltage and current values, with a standard sinusoidal waveform at a frequency of 50–60 Hz. It can effectively simulate the real operating conditions of a transformer, thereby meeting the requirements of relevant national maintenance procedures.

Operating procedure for the transformer volt-ampere characteristic tester:

1. The user should select an appropriate input voltage based on the I‑V characteristics of the device under test; when an output voltage exceeding 500 V is required, a 380 V input should be applied.

2. Ensure the instrument is properly grounded.

3. Verify that the current transformer has no grounding point.

4. Set switch “16” to the volt-ampere range.

5. The instrument output and voltage measurements are connected to the secondary side of the current transformer.

6. Verify that the voltage regulator of the transformer VA characteristic tester is set to zero, turn on switch “24,” and press the reset button; the indicator light above it will illuminate, at which point the microprocessor enters the waiting‑for‑storage state.

7. Close output switch 4, and slowly turn the voltage regulator clockwise. When you need to store the reading, press the storage button; the indicator light above the button will illuminate, and the internal buzzer will sound.

8. Up to 20 sets of current and voltage values can be stored.

9. After storage is complete, adjust the regulator to zero.

10. Press the Print button to print the test data and the volt-ampere characteristic plot.
