Introduction to the Proper Use of Inflatable Test Transformers
发布时间:2022-05-25
The inflatable test transformer is an experimental device used for power equipment testing and preventive maintenance. As China’s power industry continues to develop, the voltage rating requirements for test transformers are steadily increasing. Meanwhile, conventional oil-immersed test transformers are increasingly unable to meet the demands of field operations, whether in terms of size, weight, or performance.

Operating procedure for the inflatable test transformer: Connect the working circuit and ensure proper grounding. According to the XCJH/HTC instruction manual, first set the voltage and current adjustment values. Increase the voltage in accordance with the prescribed procedures, ensuring that the rate of voltage rise does not exceed 3000 V/s. When the voltage reaches the test voltage, start timing; after one minute, reduce the voltage rapidly to below one-third of the test voltage before disconnecting the power supply. During subsequent voltage increases or withstand tests, if any of the following abnormal conditions are observed, immediately reduce the voltage, disconnect the power, stop the test, and investigate the cause.
⑴ The voltmeter pointer swings significantly (or the digital display fluctuates markedly). ⑵ The ammeter reading rises linearly. ⑶ An abnormal sound is heard within the test specimen. Item 9 refers to the pressure relief valve and pressure gauge, which are normally kept closed. Open the valve once every six months to check the SF6 pressure; the pressure should not fall below 0.4 MPa (close the valve immediately after checking). If the pressure drops below 0.4 MPa, replenish with SF6 gas to restore adequate gas insulation. Measure the insulation resistance of the test equipment before and after the withstand voltage test to assess its insulation condition. All operations must strictly comply with relevant national standards and operating procedures; refer to GB 311-83 “Insulation Coordination for High-Voltage Transmission and Transformation Equipment and High-Voltage Testing Techniques,” the “Preventive Test Procedures for Electrical Equipment,” and other applicable regulations.
