How do you wire the transformer volt‑ampere characteristic tester? For those who are new to this instrument, many may be unfamiliar with its basic operations—such as wiring and panel controls. So, how should the transformer volt‑ampere characteristic tester be wired, and is it easy to connect? Today, we’ll provide the answers.

First, connect the red and black two‑core leads to the primary and secondary jacks on the mutual‑inductance transformer ratio tester panel; at the other ends, attach them respectively to the corresponding primary and secondary terminals of the current transformer. The red lead is connected to the k1 polarity terminal, and the black lead is connected to the k2 terminal.
Secondly, after connecting the wires, plug in the power supply, turn on the power switch, and press the measurement button on the panel. Wait approximately 10 seconds; the instrument will display the measurement result, along with the polarity and the wiring configuration of the current transformer.
Third point: Observe the polarity indication. If the display shows “plus polarity,” it means that the red or black wire is connected to the positive terminal, indicating a wiring polarity error. If the display shows “minus polarity,” it means that the red or black wire is connected to the negative terminal, indicating that the wiring polarity is correct.
