A Brief Analysis of Precautions for Using Insulating Boot and Insulating Glove Testing Equipment
发布时间:2021-12-28
The insulating boot and insulating glove testing apparatus is powered by a low-voltage, 220 V/50 Hz mains supply. Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, the input voltage can be adjusted to achieve the maximum test voltage required. The high‑voltage withstand test system for insulating boots (and gloves) consists of two main components: a water tank and a control console. The water tank is divided into upper and lower sections; the upper section houses six small water tanks, while the lower section contains the test transformer.

It can simultaneously perform withstand voltage tests on six insulating boots or six insulating gloves, while displaying the leakage current of each item. The control console is equipped with overcurrent protection, zero‑position protection, time‑limit protection, and alarm functions. During testing, operators must maintain a safe working distance (less than 20 kV per meter in air).
The power-frequency withstand voltage test bench must be reliably grounded, with a grounding resistance of less than 0.1 Ω. Before use, the insulation resistance should be measured and found to exceed 2 MΩ. Prior to operation, verify that all electrical component contacts are secure, that contact is good, and that all protective systems function properly.
Before use, wipe all components—including the insulating support rod, electrodes, electrode rods, and water tank—with alcohol. After testing, drain all water and dry each part thoroughly with a cotton cloth. If the equipment will remain unused for an extended period, store the water tank, electrode rods, and insulating support rod in a dry, well-ventilated location.
